What is Wellbeing?

Wellbeing is the experience of health, happiness and prosperity. It includes having good mental health, high life satisfaction, a sense of meaning or purpose, and the ability to manage stress. More generally, wellbeing is just feeling well which includes feeling happy, healthy, socially connected, and purposeful. It encompasses the environmental factors that affect us and how we function in society, and the subjective experiences we have throughout our lives.

Making Wellbeing Achievable

Wellbeing is a big, important goal, and it can feel overwhelming. We all know we should be eating a healthy diet, drinking water, exercising, getting enough good quality sleep, and make more time for rest and relaxation. And I know from first-hand experience, that work, family and life in general, can make it hard to prioritise self-care, and the more you think about what you "should" be doing differently, the more daunting achieving wellbeing can seem.

So, what is wellbeing? It's about honouring the mind-body connection and treating the whole person, using a variety of proven therapies. I want to help you move a step closer to achieving a feeling of wellbeing through the power of massage. I currently offer Indian Head Massage, Swedish Full Body Massage, Back, Neck and Shoulder Massage, and Thai Hand Massage.
